A world of communication solutions...
With so many options out there, it can sometimes become confusing as to which solution is right for you. In this article, we will take a look at the communication cabling offerings from HARTING, including connectors and RJ45s, which can help you to significantly improve your signal and data communications.
High performance data transfer
If your applications require data transfer, the RJ45 range is what you are looking for. Ideal for automation devices such as controllers, sensors and actuators. Available for 2- or 4- pair Ethernet, the RJ45 range includes PROFINET, Ethernet/IP and EtherCAT for industrial applications.Standard IP20 jacks and connectors provide quick and reliable connectivity. Also available is IP65/67 in the form of Han 3A, PushPull and Hybrid – all of which have tool-less field assembly. These are all available in ready to use patch cables in various lengths, or as connectors for onsite cables.
Data and Signal for your application
Circular connectors for industrial applications are an everyday product, although sometimes confusing. The range includes connectors, ready to use patch cables and accessories to bring data and signal to your application. Meeting IP65/67 standards, the range includes A, B, D, X and L coding, with metal housing. The HARAX termination for onsite installation provides the solution for a quick and easy termination. The circular connector range of assembled system cables enables the quick wiring of sensors and actuators, including ready to use and tested cables for special Ethernet communications such as PROFINET.
M12, but which coding?
When it comes to M12 there’s a variety of coding options, so we’ve put together some hints and tips to help you choose the right product for your requirements.
- L-Coded: Solutions for Power, including railway technology
- A-Coded: Solutions for actuator and sensor applications
- B-Coded: Solutions for Profibus applications, including DeviceNet
- D-Coded: Solutions for Ethernet applications
- X-Coded: Solutions for High-Speed Ethernet applications.
HARAX Explained
The term “HARAX” has been mentioned a few times in the blog, and we appreciate that not everyone knows what this is, so here’s a brief explanation! Put simply, HARAX is our unique termination method, which is tool-less, quick and easy for onsite termination. Simply strip the cable insulation, insert the conductors and screw the connector together!
Other communication solutions on offer include preLink, Overmoulded cables, and PushPull.
